Job summary

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a contract assignment in Overland Park, Kansas. This SNF/LTC setting requires a licensed SLP with CCC credentials and CPR certification.

The role is a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week and an 8-hour shift. Start ASAP, duties include assessment, therapy services, and interdisciplinary collaboration to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school.
• Current state license or in process for SLP licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• SLP-CCC credential required.
• Experience in SNF/LTC settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care for each patient.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services / interventions according to physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate and modify care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover communication and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate to ensure patients fulfill educational, vocational and social roles.
