Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Vidalia, Georgia. The role focuses on assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting, with responsibilities spanning evaluation, plan of care, and family education.

The position requires 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional backgrounds) and requires ASHA-SLP certification with BLS, plus state licensing.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• SLPs must be able to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean or stoop as needed.
• ASHA, BLS; 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit individualized needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties (family, teachers, or medical professionals).
• Provide documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
