Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for an immediate travel opening in Oregon, MO. The 13-week assignment requires 40 hours per week, day shifts, and an 8-hour shift pattern.

The right candidate has 1 year of experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional cases) and must hold BLS and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing. The SLP will assess and treat speech, voice, and swallowing disorders, develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse patient population.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties including family, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
