HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Salinas, CA. The role focuses on acute care-related communication and swallowing, in a skilled nursing facility, with multidisciplinary collaboration.

Shifts run 5x8 from 08:00 to 16:30, starting 11/23/2026 for 13 weeks. Requires California licensure eligibility, CCC-SLP or eligibility, and 1+ year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• California state license to practice or eligibility.
• CCC-SLP certification or eligibility.
• At least 1 year of acute care or SNF experience preferred.
• Ability to work 35 hours per week with 8.5-hour shifts.
• EMR documentation and HIPAA compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations in acute care and SNF settings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Deliver therapy across assigned hours; document progress and adjust plans; participate in rounds.
• Document in medical records per policy; communicate progress to teams and families.
• Educate staff and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies; assist with discharge planning.
