Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders with measurable goals
• Deliver therapy services across assigned hours; document progress and adjust plans as needed; participate in interdisciplinary rounds
• Document in medical records per policy; communicate progress and discharge recommendations to patients, families, and care teams; ensure patient safety and compliance
• Provide education to staff and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing, and assist with discharge planning and patient transfers

Requirements

• Current California state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for CCC-SLP
• At least 1 year of experience in acute care or skilled nursing settings preferred
• Ability to work 35 hours per week with 8.5-hour shifts
• Proficiency with documentation in electronic medical records and HIPAA compliance
