Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. The role requires a California SLP license and current BLS, with a 40-hour workweek and 8-hour days in a travel setting.

The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and swallowing disorders, create individualized plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid SLP license in the state of California.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; CCC-SLP certification preferred.
• Travel-friendly eligibility and ability to work 40 hours/week across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders; develop individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat communication disorders across diverse patient populations.
• Document progress accurately in the EMR and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy plans and home programs; ensure infection control compliance.
