Job summary
Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for an acute care travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA, starting 10/05/2026 for 13 weeks.
You will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop treatment plans, provide bedside therapy, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support discharge planning and patient outcomes in a hospital setting.

Qualifications
- Active California licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Ability to work effectively in an acute care hospital setting.
- Proficient in evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for patients in acute care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide bedside therapy and support for recovery, including patient and family education.
- Document patient progress clearly in the medical record and update care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and patient outcomes.
- Maintain adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based practice.
