Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field coordination and supervision of subcontracted work on construction projects in Oklahoma. The role emphasizes timely, cost-effective management, quality control, and safety adherence on site.

The position requires extensive field experience, supervisory responsibilities, and strong communication across teams and with Project Managers and clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Experience in Commercial and Life Science construction preferred.
• Supervisory experience as General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the project schedule and maintain reports describing project status.
• Coordinate field operations, quality control, and supervision of subcontractors.
• Review progress with Project Manager and client representatives.
• Ensure safety standards are implemented and adhered to on site.
• Direct subcontractor activities on pharma projects.
• Analyze manpower, materials, and equipment needs.
• Prepare reports and forecasts for supervisors.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in safe condition and used safely.

Summary

The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub contractor activities within pharma projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Commercial and Life Science construction experience is preferred.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required
