Job summary

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is seeking an Accountant - Travel Coordinator to manage professional accounting tasks and coordinate travel for approved requests. The role includes auditing financial records and supporting travel processes for staff, with opportunities for guidance and supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, at least one year of accounting experience, and a willingness to undergo a background review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
• One year of professional level accounting experience.
• Combined education and experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.
• Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license or obtain by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare travel files for incoming approved requests and follow through to completion.
• Book all travel arrangements (car, hotel, airline, etc.).
• Coordinate with travelers on arrangements.
• Prepare Post and Pre-Travel Per Diem from payroll processing.
• Prepare monthly P-Card allocation and report.
• Back-up Extradition Per Diem processing.
• Prepare various reports on weekly, monthly, and year-end basis.
