Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel assignment in Massachusetts. The role requires MA RRT license, BLS/NRP/PALS, and Epic charting experience.

Assignment spans 13 weeks in a hospital RRT department with 3x12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway procedures, and administering respiratory medications in adult CCU/ED settings.

Qualifications

• MA RRT license required.
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience with arterial blood gas draws and interpretation.
• Skills in chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.
• Two references required from a Nurse Manager or higher.

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment in a hospital RRT department.
• Night shift—3×12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15.
• Adult CCU and ED with pediatric exposure.
• Union facility; must be able to work all 7 days.
• Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and airway devices.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Provide respiratory care across adult CCU and ED.
• Administer bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, and mucolytics.
• Airway management including intubation assist and extubation.
• Support ventilator management including weaning and alarm troubleshooting.
• Pass/Fail Tele test and Medication exam during orientation.
• Complete facility training modules pre-start and during orientation.
• No RTO in first week; up to 14 days may be reviewed thereafter.
• Local candidates within 75-mile radius at same bill rate.
• Returning staff must have 12-month separation from health system.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
