Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a CRT- Certified Respiratory Technician for NICU night shifts in Brandon, FL. The role involves 12-hour nights, 3 days/week, with a 13-week contract and NICU-specific responsibilities in a 36-bed Level III unit.

Must have Level III NICU experience, NRP/BLS/ACLS/PALS/NBRC certifications, and an RT license. Ventilator management, nitric oxide, and surfactant administration are key tasks, with Meditech/NeoNotes EMR usage.

Qualifications

• Must have Level III NICU experience and 3–5 years in Level II NICU.
• NRP, BLS, ACLS, NBRC, and PALS certifications are required.
• RT license/certified and eligible to work in NICU settings.

Responsibilities

• Ventilator management including conventional and high-frequency ventilation.
• Blood gas sampling and interpretation for NICU patients.
• Nitric Oxide administration as prescribed.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and participate in surfactant administration.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and proper equipment use.

UNIT DETAILS:

Number of Beds: 36-bed Level III NICU

Number of Staff: -

Day Shift: 2 Respiratory Therapists

Night Shift: 2 Respiratory Therapists

Patient Ratios: NICU is generally staffed with 2 therapists to cover the 36-bed unit during peak volumes.

TYPICAL HIRING PROFILE

SKILL SET MOST RECRUITED FOR: Registered Respiratory Therapists
