Job summary

PEL/VIP is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Robinson, Illinois. The position offers a 13-week duration with a 36-hour work week and night shifts, paid on a weekly gross basis.

The Respiratory Therapist will provide cardiopulmonary care, perform assessments, treatments, and patient education in a general floors unit, in accordance with physician orders and policy.)

Qualifications

• Active IL Respiratory Therapist license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS certifications required.
• Prior travel respiratory therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and complete respiratory assessments of patients.
• Conduct initial screenings and reassess pain as needed.
• Determine treatment requirements per physician orders.
• Formulate and evaluate patient/family teaching plans.
• Monitor physiological responses and consult with physicians for adverse reactions.
• Administer medications based on patient age and clinical condition.
• Conduct tests to evaluate cardiopulmonary functions.
• Perform routine cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Comply with safety procedures and participate in performance improvement activities.
