Job summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel First Assistant Registered Nurse (RNFA) for a 13-week assignment in California. The role requires 18 months of acute perioperative nursing experience as scrub and circulating nurse, plus an active RN license and an RNFA credential.
The position entails 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, with benefits including housing support, weekly pay, and full credentialing fee coverage. Travel reimbursement and comprehensive health coverage are provided.
Qualifications
- Eighteen months of recent experience in Acute Care Perioperative Nursing as both scrub and circulating nurse.
- Active RN License required.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Successful completion of an RNFA program meeting AORN standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeon by performing intraoperative functions including retraction, hemostasis, tissue manipulation and wound closure.
- Provide direct patient care as first assistant during operative procedures.
- Perform first assisting under supervision of the primary surgeon.
- Communicate patient care issues promptly to the surgeon.
