Job summary

Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in utilization management for a travel assignment at a 40-bed skilled nursing facility in Scarborough, Maine. The start date is November 9, 2026, with a 13-week contract and a daytime shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 40 guaranteed hours per week.

You will review and coordinate utilization management activities, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and ensure payer criteria, discharge planning, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Experience in utilization management, case management, or related post-acute care areas preferred.
• Knowledge of payer criteria, coverage determinations, and discharge planning in a SNF environment.
• Ability to work independently in a travel assignment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Registered Nurse education from an accredited program (associates or BSN acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate utilization management activities for residents in a SNF setting.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate level of care and efficient resource use.
• Review medical records to support authorization, admission criteria, and payer requirements.
• Develop and update care plans aligned with clinical goals and payer guidelines.
• Document outcomes and communicate with physicians, case managers, and payers; support discharge planning as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies governing utilization management.
