American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Step Down for a cardiology unit position requiring ACLS certification and 18 months of specialty experience within the past 3 years.

EUH Cardiology 6E unit that functions like an advanced ICU/PCU based on patient acuity and ratios
Cares for 24-hour post CABG cardiac surgery patients with chest tubes
No ventilator patients, but unit does manage LVAD patients with facility-provided training
Patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

Required to complete a proctored rhythm identification test upon starting, with two attempts allowed and no multiple choice format
Navy blue scrubs required
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days when not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days when falling on or near a holiday, with only one holiday request allowed
