Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity stepdown Progressive Care/IMC and telemetry position in Alaska. Active AK RN licensure is required, with at least 1 year of step-down/IMC and telemetry experience.

The assignment runs 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), on a 19-bed unit. Candidates must work every other weekend and may float to related units as needed.

Qualifications

• Active AK RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of step-down ICU/IMC/PCU experience.
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments and monitoring every 4 hours.
• Conduct hourly safety rounds and monitor patient care.
• Reposition patients and assist with ADLs as indicated.
• Assist with emergent cardioversion procedures and care for ventilated patients.
