Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PCU Tele/Onc unit in Yakima, WA. The assignment requires PCU experience and comfort with titratable cardiac drips.

You will work 12-hour nights on a 34-bed unit, 36 hours per week, with some weekend rotations. Local and travel pay details are provided, with comprehensive benefits.

Active WA license, BLS/ACLS, and ability to read rhythm strips are required. First-time travelers welcome if experience meets criteria.

Qualifications

• Active WA or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required.
• First-time travelers with at least 2 years nursing total experience, including 1 year in PCU.
• Skilled in trach care, chest tube management, TR band care, post cath lab care, and central line maintenance.
• Must be able to read, interpret, and measure cardiac rhythms.
• Comfortable caring for patients on BiPAP and high flow O2.
• Comfortable administering and titrating drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, and Lasix.
• Comfortable caring for cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Care for a 34-bed PCU Tele/Onc unit.
• Work 12-hour nights, 7p-7a with 36 hours/week.
• Weekend rotations required at least twice a month.
• Floating within scope across the hospital.
• Cares for general medical, cardiac, and oncology patients.
• Manage post-cath lab patients and TR band care.
