American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry position in Wisconsin, requiring WI or compact RN license and extensive telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and vent/transplant experience.

The role involves work in IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and Thoracic units, 12-hour shifts, and mandatory holiday coverage. Magnet hospital setting with Epic EMR and housing/travel incentives.

Qualifications

• Active WI RN or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only).
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry/IMC specialty.
• Vent and transplant experience required.
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required, within the past 12 months preferred.
• Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting.
• Skills in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, blood product administration, and PICC line management.
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and ABG interpretation.
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and vasoactive drip titration.
• Experience with wound care, insulin drip titration, and pre/post cardiac cath or surgery care.

Responsabilités

• Work in IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units.
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient population.
• Day/Evening 12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holiday coverage required including 12/24 and 12/25 with no time off approved.
• Floating required as needed between units.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Must pass a telemetry exam with 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher passing score before starting the assignment.
• Up to two exam attempts allowed; a cardiac interpretation review course certificate is required before a third attempt.
• Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital.
• Parking permit required for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available.
