Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Direct Observation Unit in Urbana, Illinois. The role requires Illinois RN licensure, EPIC proficiency, and Level 1 Trauma experience, with a 13-week travel assignment on a 12-hour day shift schedule.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care plan development, documentation, and IV management on the T6 Medical floor, with travel stipends and per diem benefits. Housing and licensure reimbursements are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license or temporary license in good standing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least one year of relevant nursing experience required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Observation Unit on the T6 Medical floor of a hospital.
• Patient population includes telemetry and close observation.
• Uses EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Day shift schedule, 7:00AM - 7:30PM, with three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Develop and modify care plans and document according to unit standards.
• IV site assessments every 4 hours and starting IVs per policy.
• No travel partner arrangements accepted for this assignment.
