Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Med/Surg assignment in Urbana, IL. This role requires telemetry expertise, Level 1 Trauma experience, and Epic charting, with 36 hours per week across 12-hour days.

The assignment includes travel benefits and a comprehensive compensation package. The position emphasizes patient care from admission through discharge, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to unit standards.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Minimum one year of recent relevant nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Experience in cardiac/telemetry and Level 1 Trauma environments.
• Demonstrated Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cardiac/Pulmonary Medical-Surgical unit.
• Care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.
• Medication administration, pain management, IV venipuncture, blood administration, and labs.
• Use Epic EMR system; experience required.
• Day shifts from 7:00AM to 7:30PM; three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and modify care plans.
• Participate in team huddles and provide professional feedback.
• Delegate and supervise basic care per unit standards.
• Adhere to 50-mile radius rule; no local candidates.
• RTO not to exceed 7 days during 13-week contract.
• Contingent assignments cannot exceed one year without break.
