Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a PCU night shift in Missouri. Requires 2 years of RN experience and MO or compact licensure. Certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIHSS) and Nursys are required, with EPIC charting preferred.

Position is 3x12s (19:00–07:30) on a 13-week contract, with 18 months total length and a 3-month break after. Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted; first-time travelers welcome.

Qualifications

• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia management.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
• Care for PCU Telemetry patients during night shift (19:00–07:30).
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:5–6 and no on-call duties.
• Floating within Telemetry service line and weekend rotations.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply; local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.
• Assignment length 18 months with breaks and 13-week contracts.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a PCU night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license (compact must match permanent residence)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Nursys certification required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory care, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• PCU Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within Telemetry service line
• Weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation)
• Provide telemetry-based nursing care including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week
• Assignment length of 18 months allowed, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Navy scrub color required
• Contract length is firm at 13 weeks
