American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Oncology telemetry role requiring an active TX or compact RN license and ONC certification. The 13-week contract includes night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and a patient ratio of 1:5.

Minimum 2 years of RN experience with telemetry and BLS certification are required; oncology telemetry exposure is preferred. The facility is a hospital-based Med Surg/Oncology unit with 15 beds.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with telemetry.
• Med Surg/Oncology telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and Med-Surg telemetry patients.
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and respond to alarms.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (Meditech).
• Collaborate with care team and ensure patient safety.

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Oncology telemetry position requiring an active TX or compact RN license and ONC certification.

Details

• Med Surg/Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• 15-bed unit staffed with 3 RNs and 1 PCT per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Telemetry equipment used for continuous cardiac monitoring
• Meditech EMR system in use
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Oncology Certified Nurse (ONC) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Stroke care experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and med-surg patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Navy-colored scrub attire required
• Positive, team-oriented personality preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates will not be considered
