American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN - Telemetry to join a Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit in Louisville, KY. You will read telemetry, titrate limited meds, and work a 36-hour week on a 3x12 schedule with dayshift 6:45am–7:15pm. Must have Epic EMR experience and current state license with BLS and NIHSS.

Qualifications

Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry with 2+ years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency for a Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit.

Assignment Overview

Shift: Days, 3x12hrs
Hours: 36 hrs/wk
Start Date: Sep 20, 2026
Length: 16 weeks
Openings: 4

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry with 2+ years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency for a Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit.

Details

Work in a 5A-5H Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit with 9-14 beds
Patient ratio of 4-5:1
RN reads telemetry and titrates limited medications such as heparin
Utilizes skills including EKG, trach care, PCA, wound vac, and feeding tubes as needed
Uses Epic EMR
Day shift schedule from 6:45am-7:15pm
36 hours per week over 3 days
Every other weekend required

Requirements

Active KY or Compact RN license
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Epic EMR experience required

Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
