Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. This position focuses on step-down care for adult oncology and trauma patients in an 18-bed progressive care unit with 12-hour night shifts.

The assignment lasts 13 weeks, starts on 10/12/2026, and includes a 48-hour work week with self-scheduling to meet unit needs. Benefits and housing options are provided by the agency.

Qualifications

• Required: Valid nursing license, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Driver's license required for radius verification.

Responsibilities

• Titration of insulin and Cardizem drips; manage common drips including chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, Protonix.
• Familiar with high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
• Provide patient-centered care in an 18-bed progressive care setting; ensure safety and quality during nights.
