Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) 4 East on a 14-week, night shift assignment. The role offers a $70.00/hr pay rate and temporary full-time status.

The IMC unit provides continuous monitoring with ventilator management, tracheostomy care, telemetry, and advanced nursing interventions. Required are a nursing degree, Virginia or compact license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and 2+ years of acute care RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or nursing diploma required.
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State Nursing license in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH Stroke Scale knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a 24-bed IMC unit with continuous monitoring.
• Ventilator management and post-operative cardiac/vascular care.
• Telemetry monitoring and administration of heparin infusions; BiPAP/CPAP support.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
