Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Travel RN for a Step Down unit in Weirton, West Virginia. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, with days and nights and weekends as scheduled.

The ideal candidate holds a valid RN license with at least 2 years in Step Down, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. Cerner charting is used; float to other inpatient units is possible.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license to submit.
• Minimum of 2 years of Step Down nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ADLs and routine nursing duties including vital signs, bathing, toileting, feeding, and patient repositioning.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to call lights while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Interpret telemetry strips and manage cardiac drips as directed (e.g., cardizem, amio, nitro, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine).
