Job summary

Ascension is seeking an Associate Travel Program - Step Down RN to provide direct nursing care across Indianapolis, Anderson and Evansville locations. The role offers day and night shifts, with a 36-hour work week and travel between facilities.

The position requires RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, ACLS preferred, and at least one year of acute care experience. This traveler role supports a large Catholic health system with strong benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Registered Nurse with compact license or state RN license for travel location.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• One year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of Ascension.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
