Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The position requires an AL or compact RN license, 2+ years RN experience with 1 year in the specialty, BLS, and proficiency with Meditech EMR. Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a 13-week Pulmonary Telemetry unit assignment with 36 hours weekly.

Local candidates are welcome at the same rate; travel benefits and per diem may apply per policy.

Qualifications

Active AL or compact RN license with no disciplinary actions current or past.
At least 2 years of RN experience required, with 1 year in the specialty.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Only fully active (not pending or temporary) state or compact licenses accepted.
Ability to use Meditech EMR.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital setting on a pulmonary medical-surgical telemetry unit.
Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Care for patients with pulmonary conditions requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring.
13-week assignment.
Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
Virtual orientation with competency-based modules.
Cardiac exam link provided after offer acceptance and must be completed in time.
No HealthStream modules required prior to start date.
Standard hospital dress code applies.
