Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment on a respiratory-focused night shift requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least two years' nursing experience.

The position is a travel assignment in Tuscaloosa, AL, working 12-hour nights for 13 weeks starting 01/05/2026, with a weekly pay of $1,912 based on 36 hours. Benefits include day-one medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and per diems.

Qualifications

• Active AL or compact RN license required, no disciplinary actions.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, at least one year in Med/Surg Telemetry.
• BLS certification required.
• Government-issued driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Care on 7 North Med/Surg Telemetry unit with respiratory focus.
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:00.
• Care provided in a hospital setting.
• Orientation hours are included at the start of the assignment.
• Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules rather than pre-employment HealthStream assignments.
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as non-local candidates with no distance restrictions.
• All testing or modules are completed as part of orientation.
• Team structure and further training will be provided during orientation.
