American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience and CPI or Handle With Care certification.

Details

• Adult inpatient Behavioral Health hospital with 5 units ranging from 10 to 23 beds
• Patient ratios vary by unit, from 1 RN to 10 patients up to 2 RNs to 23 patients, supported by CNAs
• Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, dementia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, dual diagnosis, medical detox, depression, and anxiety disorders
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Shift schedule is 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every other weekend required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• CPI or Handle With Care certification required for consideration (training may be available)
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to adult psychiatric patients across a range of diagnoses in a dedicated behavioral health hospital setting
• Any color scrub permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months disqualifies candidates
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
