Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position in Arizona. This role requires a Med Surg background and experience with both adult and pediatric patients, with an active AZ or Compact RN license.

The ideal candidate will have current BLS/PALS, telemetry experience, and be comfortable with float to Med Surg units. Travel and housing benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric populations required.
• HFNC experience preferred.
• Chest tubes experience preferred.
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• PEWS/RRT protocols experience.
• On-unit telemetry monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for both adult and pediatric patients in Pediatrics unit.
• Maintain patient ratio 1:5-6.
• Day shift 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30).
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required.
• Floating to adult Med Surg units as needed.
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities.
• Orientation held every Monday.
• Holiday coverage required during contract.
• Limited RTO due to staffing.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring Med Surg background with both adult and pediatric patient experience and an AZ or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience required
• Experience with telemetry required
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric populations required
• Skills in respiratory care including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) preferred
• Skills in management of chest tubes preferred
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS)/Rapid Response Team protocols
• On-unit telemetry monitoring experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in a Pediatrics unit caring for both adult and pediatric patients
