Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU assignment in Texas. This role requires a TX or compact RN license and 2+ years of PCICU experience.

You will work in a high-acuity standalone CCU, caring for neonatal through young adult patients with CHD, heart failure, transplants, and VAD/Berlin cases. Night shifts 19:00–07:30, 13-week assignment, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience.
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high acuity, fast-paced standalone CCU unit.
• Care for neonatal through young adult patients, including CHD.
• Manage care for congenital heart disease/defects, surgical CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD/Berlin heart cases.
• Nurse to patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:1 and 1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU.
• Night shift schedule 19:00-07:30.
• 13-week assignment.
• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric and young adult patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration.
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location.
• Submission limited to one Ascension position system-wide.
