Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric ICU night shift at a teaching hospital in Fayetteville, NC.

Eligible candidates hold an active NC or compact RN license and at least 2 years PICU experience, with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications and Epic EMR proficiency. Responsibilities include ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, IV therapy, and pediatric dosing in a Level III trauma center.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam prior to start
• Epic EMR experience required
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• Ventilator management and pediatric dosing experience
• IV therapy and central line care experience

Responsibilities

• Work in the PICU unit of an acute care teaching hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within hospital or affiliated campuses
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients in Level III Trauma Center
• Scrub color: royal blue and white
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the main campus
• RTO up to 4 days with manager discretion
• One major holiday off
• Former employees must be separated at least 1 year to reapply as traveler
• Night shift travel extensions up to two times for max three contracts
• Compliance modules 4-10 hours to complete
• First-time travelers may be considered at manager's discretion

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night-shift position requiring 2 years of PICU experience and NC or compact licensure.

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required, pending license not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam prior to start, no exceptions
• Epic EMR experience required
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Skilled in IV therapy, central line care, and administration of blood products
• Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and emergency medications including vasopressors
• Skilled in cardiovascular monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) unit of an acute care teaching hospital

• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)

• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, with manager discretion applied
• Only one major holiday may be requested off
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend up to two times for a maximum of three contracts, then must wait six months before reapplying
• Compliance modules required prior to start, estimated 4-10 hours to complete
• First-time travelers generally not preferred but may be considered at manager's discretion depending on experience level
