Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a 12-week travel assignment in Akron, OH. The candidate must hold an OH RN license with a 1:1 patient ratio in a Pediatric ICU and be certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. BSN is required due to Magnet status, with at least two years of RN and PICU experience.

The role includes float duties to a second campus and other units as needed. Ventilated patient care, respiratory support, and intense infection control practices are key.

Responsibilities

• 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 to 19:00 with 1:1 patient ratio.
• Float to a second campus location and to other units as needed.
• Use Epic charting system when documenting care.

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• BSN required due to Magnet facility status
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including PICU experience
• Skilled in respiratory care and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with infection control/PPE and wound assessment/care
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the PICU of a Magnet-designated children\'s hospital
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Care for critically ill pediatric patients including ventilated patients
• 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Floating required to a second campus location and to other competent units
• Epic charting system used, experience preferred but not required
• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Trauma Level I and II experience is a plus given the facility's trauma designation
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Prior employees may be considered for return as travelers if not currently active employees
• No mileage radius restriction applies for this position
