Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU night shift position in Newark, NJ. Requires 2+ years PICU, 1 year cardiac CC experience, active NJ license, BLS/PALS, EPIC charting, and travel nursing background.

Night shifts are 3x12s (19:00–07:30) with 1:2 patient ratio, floating to Pediatrics/NICU as needed. Position offers comprehensive travel benefits, including weekly pay ranges and stipends, with start date Oct 5, 2026 and a 13-week assignment.

Qualifications

Active NJ or Compact RN license required.
Minimum 2 years PICU critical care experience with 1 year cardiac experience.
BLS and PALS certifications.
EPIC charting experience required.
Prior travel nursing experience required.
IV therapy including port access, blood products, central line care, PICC management, TPN/lipids.

Responsibilities

Provide critical care nursing for complex pediatric cardiac patients including congenital heart disease, transplant, and post-surgical cases.
Work night shift with 3x12-hour shifts and 1:2 or higher patient ratios; float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed.
Utilize standard PICU equipment and cardiac monitoring; manage telemetry.
Collaborate with team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
