Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a NICU RN for a Level III unit in Newark, NJ. The role requires 2+ years NICU experience and NJ or compact RN licensure, plus BLS/NRP. Night shift 7:00pm–7:30am with varied weekend requirements.

You will provide developmental care and critical neonatal support, with duties across cardiovascular and respiratory care, charting in EPIC and Crib Notes, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years NICU experience required.
• Active NJ or Compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Experience with blood products, IVs, and neonatal dosing calculations.
• Ventilated patient care and telemetry experience required.
• Infection control, ultrasound/ECG familiarity not specified.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive NICU care per Level III standards.
• Deliver developmental care and patient/family education.
• Monitor cardiovascular and respiratory status; implement interventions as needed.
• Administer medications and manage respiratory support equipment.
• Document in EPIC and Crib Notes; ensure isolation precautions.
