Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Texas on a day shift. Requires TX or compact RN license and recent PCU experience. Includes travel benefits and a 13-week assignment with a start date of 12/15/2026.

Active BLS and NIH Stroke certifications are required and must not expire within 30 days of start. Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; first-time travelers welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
• 13-week assignment on a 7a-7p day shift schedule
• New unit opening with a start date of 12/15/2026
• Provide direct patient care to progressive/intermediate care level patients
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
