Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Rapid City, SD. This role focuses on patients transitioning from ICU to med-surg, requiring strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac expertise. Requirements include 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
• BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
• Administer medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Support physician during cardiac procedures
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Document nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Educate patients on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
