Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The PCU RN works with patients needing close monitoring, utilizing monitoring equipment to detect changes and respond quickly to emergencies. This role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and certifications such as ACLS and BLS, with shift rotations including nights.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays for changes.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
