Job summary

Express Healthcare Staffing of Miami is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. This travel assignment requires 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts in a 40-bed PCU.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Med/Surg, Telemetry and PCU/Step-Down care, plus BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications. Expect potential unit float and emphasis on teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU-level experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Ability to float to other units as needed.
• Positive attitude and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for PCU patients in a 40-bed unit with 1:5–1:6 ratios.
• Support admission assessment, medication reconciliation and acute care orders.
• Collaborate with ED to improve throughput and patient safety.
• Rotate across units as needed and adhere to scheduling requirements.
