Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Bay City, Michigan. This PCU/stepdown position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and offers 36 hours per week over 13 weeks, with 12-hour nights shifts.

As a PCU RN you will monitor cardiac patients, manage IVs and medications, and collaborate with the care team in a fast-paced setting. Travel duties include guaranteed hours and tax-free stipends where applicable.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; 2+ years of nursing experience preferred.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as PCU/RN.
• Travel nurse experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications with adverse reaction reporting.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record electronic displays; respond to changes.
• Collaborate with care team to intervene in life-threatening or emergency situations.
