Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel RN for a 13-week PCU stepdown assignment in Bossier City, LA. Start date 10/05/2026. Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week with a competitive pay package and traveler benefits.

The role requires 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, current RN license in Louisiana, BLS and ACLS. PCCN/NIHSS are preferred and licensure reimbursement is offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in Louisiana compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) and NIHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry, ventricular rhythms and vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and prepare equipment.
• Provide patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Document patient status and respond to cardiac emergencies per protocol.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
