Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This travel role requires 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a focus on telemetry patient care in a Stepdown unit.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current RN license compliant with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred: PCCN Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications/licenses may be required

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with cardiac focus
• Aids physician during cardiac procedures and examinations
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection control guidelines
• Performs duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Keeps patient information confidential
