Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with travel benefits and exposure to a busy stepdown environment.

Required is 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, active RN license, BLS and ACLS. PCCN/NIHSS certifications are preferred. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team ready to assist on assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors telemetry, vital signs and cardiac data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers medications and treatments per nursing standards, focusing on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and lifestyle modification
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
