Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma Level 1 PCU Oncology unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and a NE or compact RN license. This travel assignment is based in an acute care hospital with 18-bed PCU and oncology trauma care, with 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend duty.

You'll participate in unit-based orientation, use Epic EMR, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care while meeting credentialing

Qualifications

• Active NE state or compact (NLC) RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA).
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required.
• Oncology experience preferred; strong PCU experience considered.
• Charge nurse experience not required.
• Driver's license required at time of consideration.
• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and trauma PCU patients.
• Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting.
• Collaborate with Nursing Assistants, Charge Nurse, PT/OT, RN Case Manager, Social Worker, Educator, and Dietitian.
• Pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
• Reside within 50 miles of the facility; verify distance via driver’s license.
• Adhere to facility policies and patient care standards.
