Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a temporary 13-week assignment within an inpatient setting to support staffing needs. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care with a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• One year of RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required based on the appropriate certification for the patient population.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span and interprets data to identify age-specific needs.
• Prescribes, delegates, coordinates and documents patient care including assessment, education, medication administration, treatments and safety.
• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment as defined by unit specific requisite skills.
• Prioritizes patient care in an ongoing manner in accordance with Evidence Based Practice Standards of Care.
