Qualified candidates hold a Florida RN license, BLS certification, and relevant pediatric or critical care certifications as required by the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program or equivalent.
• One year of RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required based on the appropriate patient population.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop/revise an individualized plan of care.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate growth and development knowledge across the life span and interpret data to meet age-specific needs.
• Prescribe, delegate, coordinate and document patient care including assessment, education, medications, treatments and safety.
• Demonstrate nursing skills and use of unit equipment per unit standards.
• Prioritize patient care in line with Evidence Based Practice.

Education

Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Florida RN license

BLS certification

ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required based on population
