Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Evansville, IN. Start date 11/02/2026. 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts.

You will provide Stepdown care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, monitor telemetry, administer meds, and collaborate with the care team. Eligible candidates have at least one year of Stepdown RN experience, an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry, vital signs and other data; responds to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health, risk factors and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
• Adheres to hospital safety, infection control and regulatory standards.
