Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Kansas City, Missouri. The position offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, and opportunities to make a positive impact on patients transitioning from ICU to stepdown care.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer cardiac medications, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN or comparable critical care role.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) and ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort on telemetry units.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
