Job summary

TotalMed in Arlington, TX is seeking a Progressive Care Unit travel nurse (PCU RN) for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week and 12-hour day shifts.

The PCU RN will monitor cardiac and other vitals, administer medications, and provide careful patient assessment while coordinating with the care team. ACLS/BLS required; 1 year acute care experience preferred. Immediate travel opportunity with a tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1 year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
